2 cups Raisins 2 cups Sugar
1 1/2 cups Water 3 Eggs
1 cup Shortening 4-4 1/2 cups Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon 1 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Nutmeg 1 TBL Salt
1/4 tsp Allspice 1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla 1 cups Nuts
Simmer raisins in water 5 minutes. Save 1/2 cup juice for the cookies. Mix ingredients. Drop on cookie sheet by spoonfuls. Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes.
